Open webadmin and under media file sync there will be the option to search for cover art via imdb as amazon is not working.

The DVD installer per default does not create the initial MD image, as that creation takes a very long time, and most people probably prefer to give 810 a test, without the MDs. If you want to setup MDs, you have to manually run
/usr/pluto/bin/Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh
(You should only have to do this once)

If you have problems running Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh, check [[Error Running Diskless CreateTBZ.sh|this article]].

If you then have problems netbooting your diskless media directors because you are receiving the error message "Diskless Setup Failed", check [[Diskless setup failed error in 0810 beta|this article]].

Once you have installed LinuxMCE-0810, all you need to do to keep up-to-date with the latest and greatest, is run the following from a terminal on the core and each MD:

But we are working on an update that will install a fixed version of OpenSSH. A workaround is to generate your ssh key on an unaffected machine and transfer it to LinuxMCE before opening the ssh port on your firewall or upgrade to the most recent version of OpenSSH. Note: All unpatched Ubuntu and Debian releases from the last two years exhibit the weak key problem, so make sure that any such machine is updated before you generate a new key.

Currently (as of Feb 2009), the team is working hard on LinuxMCE-0810-Alpha2.

The current alpha is available for download. Anyone wishing to do so, however, should understand that alpha-releases are a work in progress to be used by those who are willing to test a system and provide feedback to the team. It should not be used in an environment that you depend on to be reliable.

The instructions below are expected to remain the same for all alpha releases from Alpha2 onwards.

==Installation==
# Install Kubuntu Intrepid, update it and enable the restricted (video) drivers if needed. ([http://www.kubuntu.org/getkubuntu/download download Kubuntu 8.10 release])
# Run aptitude update and aptitude dist-upgrade to get the latest Kubuntu updates.
# Grab the latest installer script from [http://deb.linuxmce.org/ubuntu/new-installer-alpha-latest.tar.gz here], unpack them and change into the freshly created ''new-installer'' directory.
# Run the following scripts (as root, in order): pre-install-from-repo.sh, mce-install.sh, post-install.sh.
# Reboot, wait for the activity to stop (see progress on console 8).

In other words, after installing Kubuntu :
