Kubuntu Feisty (0704) + LMCE-1.1 (0704) works.

Discontinued by manufacturer.

Problems and Pitfalls

The motherboard seems unable to use newer SATA (3G/s) drives, could be normal, although I would have expected SATA to be more or less backward compatible, maybe I'm expecting to much here. Works fine with "regular" SATA drives like the WD Raptor.
