ASUS A8N32-sli-deluxe

This motherboard netbooted successfully off a 64bit 7.10rc core, and seamed to be working- unfortunately I'm not sure exactly how I had it set up in bios to do it. My second attempt to install (with what I thought where the same settings as before) this as an MD on the same system has been frustrating- kernal panics, network problems. I've read posts of a few other people with the same on board nic having the similar issues. My motherboard may be failing though, as I've had problems with it for the last week. will update this if I figure any more out.
-update: after 6hr's struggling with this I've given up. The marvel Ethernet controller definitely doesn't work without updated drivers now (oddly I'm fairly sure it did before), I tried to install them unsuccessfully. Using the Nvidia Ethernet port, all drives disabled, PNP OS on, and APM on, selecting 'reconfigure device' on the advanced page after creating the MD in the admin panel, but before 'setup diskless MD'- I got it to boot into the AV setup, where I found out my tv would only accept 480i- I made it through the setup but then it failed to start X in UI2. I couldn't manage to change it to UI1. I deleted and re created the MD in the admin panel and tried again, but this time going through the same process, the screen when black when the AV setup was supposed to be starting. I found out my tv isn't made to be compatible with a PC input- however I'm not sure why this would have an effect, since the AV wizard was showing up in it at first. The 7800GTX is the same card model I have working in the core/hybrid, and I haven't had problems with it there.
