Problems and Pitfalls
No on board video, but the two PCIe slots allow for any number of compatible nVida cards to be installed.
This motherboard has a well documented issue with Ubuntu installs and acpi. It is possible to circumvent the problem by turning off the acpi by inserting the line
noacpi noapic nolapic acpi=off irqpoll
into /boot/grub/menu.lst
after the word "splash" in the section
## additional options to use with the default boot option, but not with the
## alternatives
## e.g. defoptions=vga=791 resume=/dev/hda5
# defoptions=quiet splash
The trade-off is that the motherboard will function but the power management functions will not.
