The onboard NIC is not natively supported by LMCE 710, but the process is simple and painless. To setup the NIC for the Core, one the first boot after installing via the DVD method, press escape at the Grub boot menu and select the 2nd item (safe mode) and wait for the prompt. While the core is booting, visit http://dataless.jeromenet.org/r8168.ko and download the file to a flash drive. Then, at the Core's prompt, type:
mkdir /mnt/temp mount /dev/sdx1 /mnt/temp (insert your letter for "x" in this, you can find it with dmesg) cp /mnt/temp/r8168.ko /lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/kernel/drivers/net/ depmod -a /lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/kernel/drivers/net/r8168.ko
Open a text editor
Type "r8168" below all of the text:
Save and exit the text editor, then navigate to the boot directory and load the module:
cd /boot update-initramfs -uv
Reboot the machine and configure the AVWizard as usual.
(8.18.08) While this board is stable as my core, there are problems that need to be diagnosed:
1) The onboard video card is NOT plug and play- still trying to get things working using this: http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Display_Drivers no luck so far.
2) The onboard NIC does not appear to be supported- http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=5995.0 with either the AMD64 or the i386 DVD installation methods.

3) No HDMI tv's/audio devices in the house :( therefore, untested
4) EZ Gate does NOT work on this motherboard without Windows. Some motherboards have the software built into the BIOS, as far as I can tell, this is not one of them.
1) Audio works out of the box
2) On board Realtek 8111B/8111C (r8168) Gigabit Ethernet now works - Wiki - R8168
