Video Phone functionality within Linux MCE:

Video phone's allow you to make video phone calls from your living room to someone else's living room, home or office computer... Along with 'cool' factor, video phone calls are a great way to see your friends and family while you're talking to them!

NOTE: This presently does not work for incoming video calls - only outbound. (Calls you make) There is currently only one workaround to have video phone functionality incorporated into Linux MCE - but hopefully that will change with future releases... While there is no tutorial, you'll need to visit http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/MythPhone for assistance in configuring Mythphone.

An alternative that works in Kubuntu:

Skype is free and supports video calls for Linux users (Version 2.0 and higher for Linux). It also allows Linux users to contact Windows and Mac-owning friends without having to worry about being left out. Skype also offers a lot of popular features like privacy controls, automatic answering and ways to share local data with others. Visit Skype for more information and installation.
