He is capable of damaging multiple enemies at once. His abilities and skills rely on attacking instead of buffing your teammates, and his ranged attacks can help you safely deal with enemies while avoiding incoming damage.

If you make a proper build, you can easily carry your team against sturdy foes. Make sure to use the signature W Engine for Billy Kid, Starlight Engine Replica, that can boost his physical damage by 36 percent.

7 Nicole

Leader Of The Cunning Hares

Nicole is one of the best free support characters that you can obtain early on in Zenless Zone Zero. She can greatly increase the ether damage of her teammates if you pair her up with other ether units. However, you can use her with other units as well as she can group enemies by using her Ether Vortexes or Black Holes that pull the foes in.

Furthermore, she can also considerably reduce the defense of an enemy by 20 percent with her core passive skill. Therefore, she is a must-have support on your roster.

6 Anby Demara

The A Rank Slasher

One of the most powerful stun agents in Zenless Zone Zero, Anby is a great DPS to use if you prefer a fast-paced play style. His abilities can deal considerable damage and can increase the attacking stats of his Ice teammates as well, including Ellen . Make sure to focus on leveling up his special attack along with the basic attack to increase DMG considerably.

To further buff up his fast-paced attacks, use his signature W Engine, The Restrained, which focuses on increasing both daze and damage. You can team him up with Corin and Soukaku, both of which are good options for beginners.

However, if you manage to pull Ellen, do not hesitate to use them both in the team together to unleash their full potential together as ice damage dealers. Therefore, you should definitely go for him in the Star-Studded Cast Banner.

4 Nekomata

The Mischievous DPS Who Strikes From Behind

Nekomiya Mana, often called by her nickname Nekomata, is a powerful DPS. While her play style can be quite complex to master, you can deal a high amount of additional damage from her quick assist or dodge counter, thanks to her passive core skill, Stealthy Paws.

If you use her W Engine, Steel Cushion, you can deal additional damage by striking enemies from behind. Nekomata can be pulled from character banners, or you can recruit her for free after 300 Signal Searches. Team her up with Anby and Nicole to bring out the best of her abilities.

3 Rina

Her Puppets Look Cute But Are Lethal

Rina is also one of the best S-rank characters that you can pull in the star-studded cast banner. She is a powerful support that uses her puppets to deal either physical or electrical damage. You can use her in any team composition, but it is recommended that you pair her up with other electric units for maximum damage.

Her dodge abilities are phenomenal, and she can back away from incoming damage unscratched if you time it right. She is suitable for dealing with electric damage and increasing the pen ratio of herself and her team as well, so you can penetrate the enemy’s defence easily. The W Engine Canon Rotor can boost her crit rate, which can increase her damage significantly as a support.

2 Grace Howard

The Powerful Anomaly Agent

Grace Howard is one of the best characters that you can obtain early on in the Zenless Zone Zero. This S-rank agent is a great option if you want to deal with high AOE attacks. Her attacks also help with Electric Anomaly buildup, which can stun and shock the enemies. When using Grace in your team, make sure to focus on increasing her anomaly mastery and proficiency.

Therefore, W Engine, like the Electro Lip Gloss or Rainforest Gourmet, is recommended. If you practice enough, grace can prove to be a very powerful support and can carry you easily to the late game. Pair her up with characters like Soukaku and Anby as they greatly synergize with each other.

1 Soldier 11

The Loyal Soldier Of Obol Squad

Soldier 11 is a powerful agent capable of dealing high fire damage. She can take on any enemy thanks to her Fire Suppression Mechanic, which boosts her damage significantly. However, she could be very challenging to play with as you have to time your attacks and dodges right to deal maximum damage. Her basic attack can deal both physical and fire damage.

Pairing her up with other fire agents can buff her abilities significantly. Using Anby and Ben in the same team is recommended. However, if you manage to pull agents like Koleda, they are also a good option to use in the same team as Soldier 11.
