New page

== ASUS EB1033 ==

A very small unit using the Intel Atom processor. It has space for an internal SATA SSD, SD card port, USB 3, builtin WIFI, and HDMI output. This unit would probably be a good media director, core, or hybrid system. It is not suitable for MythTV.

The current stable versions of Linux MCE (8.10 and 1004) will not install from an external USB 3.0 DVD drive. The unit will boot from the DVD but the Ubuntu installer does not have a working device driver for the DVD. You can successfully install by writing the 1004 ISO image to a bootable SD card (at least 4GB). Select the SD card as the first boot device and install as normal.
