Media Director Will be added as I go along. I first need to make sure that I can get the Core working and controlling my TV (Sony Bravia) and the sky box. I know there is no RS232 on the TV but on the sky box there is a USB and Network port but according to the documentation they are not active so I am going to try it. If it does not then I will have to all back on to the Infra red option.
