Pay no attention to my green network cable there, no that's not part of the setup, I just happen to like wired connections where I can get them for the laptop.

The remote sitting on the end table is my only remote.

I do have several devices under the TV, but obviously the receiver and the media director are the only ones being used. The others are just for show I guess :) The same goes for all of the DVDs and VHS shown on the shelves. It's so hard to part with them isn't it?

Lights for the room are controller via Insteon. The actual light switches are nowhere close to the room (poor design or laziness probably factored into that decision) and so lighting control was a big "want". The led runner lights are also controled via an Insteon controlled receptacle behind the couch.

Obviously my "Theatre Room" isn't massive and I'm not made of money, but LinuxMCE has made a solution like this accessible for someone even like myself who wants to have a great experience in their little basement.
