In LinuxMCE 0810 a template has been created so this device is Plug and Play
In LinuxMCE 0710, you need to set up the extra buttons to do other things within LMCE, regular mouse feature work fine.
Setting Up the Extra Buttons in Linux MCE 0710
1. Download this file [1]
2. Extract the .Xmodmap file contained in the zip file.
3. Copy or move the file to the /etc/ directory
4. Do the following below:
#get a console sudo nano -w /usr/pluto/bin/lmce_launch_manager.sh #add the line with xmodmap ... xmodmap /etc/.Xmodmap #<--- the added stuff KDE_DEBUG=1 LM_BINARY=/usr/pluto/bin/lmce_launch_manager LM_EXIT_CODE=-1 ... #CTRL+X to exit and Y to save
5. Reboot
Follow these instructions and put the device in M1 Mode and the top three buttons will become F6, F7 and F8 and the side switch will work as page up and page down when scrolling through media
