Controlling an MD with a Virtual Keyboard and Mouse
Control any Media Director with another machines keyboard and mouse using an application called Synergy.
Setting Up
From a Linux machine on the LMCE network:
- 1. apt-get install synergy
- 2. nano synergy_md.conf
- 3. Type the following in synergy_md.conf:
section: screens
hostPCname:
moonxx:
end
section: links
hostPCname: up = moonxx
moonxx:
down = hostPCname
end
- 4. synergy -c synergy_md.conf
