I have LinuxMCE hybrid in "LinuxMCE" workgroup. I have the rest of my windows computers on another workgroup. They seem not to see each other unless I do this :
  1. add
wins support = yes

under [global] section in /etc/samba/smb.conf - it's even better if you change this in /usr/pluto/templates/smb.conf.tmpl

  1. add Hybrid's IP as Wins server on all windows clients....
