*Setup RS-232 on Display
Well, got some stuff done today with the LMCE portion. Got this User Page running, helped some people on IRC, looked for some tuners and some sprinkler stuff, and finally got my telecom stuff running today. I can now get my incoming calls!! I also looked into getting the outside access working, going to have to do some port fowarding on the modem, but it should work. I just don't have the energy to do it tonight. Maybe some time this week.

Security

  • Find some good wireless Z-Wave Motion Sensors, battery powered.

Network

  • Need to find another Access Point to set up for outside, stronger signal inside

Irrigation

Make a poor man's sprinkler system using Z-Wave:

  • Be able to use on 120/220 volt (transformer is fine)
  • Be able to use on 50/60hz (going to be tough)
  • Modular, to be able to pick it up and go when I move.
  • Not able to dig up yard, so I can't do that

So, here is what I have so far:

  • Intermatic HomeSettings Outdoor Z-Wave Appliance Module ($25)
  • Honeywell AT140A1042 Universal Mount 24 Volt Transformer ($27)
  • Nelson Solenoid 7962 ($11)
  • A 5 foot legnth of hose ($5)
  • Various fittings ($10)

Going to try and find cheaper parts, but this is a good start I believe.
