Although loosely referring to audio visual devices, any input/output device can be connected to the LinuxMCE system.
Televisions, digital projectors, stereo components, and audio players are connected to a Media Director through a graphics and/or sound card.
Special interface modules allow connection of specialized input/output devices.
These can be connected to a Media Director:
- telephones
- USB-UIRT
- Infrared controller
- Wireless remote control
- Bluetooth remote control
