Installing phpMyAdmin on your LinuxMCE Core
phpMyAdmin is a tool written in PHP intended to handle the administration of MySQL over the Web. Currently it can create and drop databases, create/drop/alter tables, delete/edit/add fields, execute any SQL statement, manage keys on fields.
Installing on your LinuxMCE system
- Open a shell on the core.
- You will need to run as root to do this, so type
sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin
- Once it is completed installing, you will need to create a symlink to access it.
- Do this by typing
sudo ln -s /usr/share/phpmyadmin /var/www/phpmyadmin
This creates your simlink and your on your way!
