Here we will walkthrough how to set up a timed event to either play a piece of media or a playlist. This can be used for a variety of reasons, one of which is as an alarm clock.
Create a new timed event
1) Log into web admin
2) Goto Wizard > Event Handler > Timed Events
3) Enter a title for your event into the description box
4) Select Interval based, Day of the Week based,Day of the Month based and Absolute. They are pretty self explanatory. I choose day of the week based for my alarm clock.
5) Hit the 'Add' button
6) With Day of the Week based selected: select the days of the week you want the event to happen and enter the time in 00:00 format.
7) If you want your event to appear in the 'Sleeping Menu' pick the room off this list and the event will show up in the orbiter when that entertainment area is selected
8) Hit the 'Update' button
Play a media file
1) select device 'Media Plug-in' which states it is attached to which ever room your core is in - that is OK even if the event is not going to be in this room
2) select command 'MH Play media'.
3) Hit the 'Add' button
