Pluto refers either to the Pluto Linux distribution, available here, or the company that created that Linux distribution, see here.
Pluto was the original name of the Zwave system used for home automation for such devices as lighting, door locks and heating/cooling control. You can get started with this hardware after reading the Z-Wave_Getting_Started guide.
