Projects/To-Do List
Telecom
- Setup Cisco Wireless Phone
- Setup x100p FXO Card
- Get wake-up calls to work for me
Security
- Find some good wireless Z-Wave Motion Sensors, battery powered.
Network
- Need to find another Access Point to set up for outside, stronger signal inside
Irrigation
Make a poor man's sprinkler system using Z-Wave:
- Be able to use on 120/220 volt (transformer is fine)
- Be able to use on 50/60hz (going to be tough)
- Modular, to be able to pick it up and go when I move.
- Not able to dig up yard, so I can't do that
So, here is what I have so far:
- Intermatic HomeSettings Outdoor Z-Wave Appliance Module ($25)
- Honeywell AT140A1042 Universal Mount 24 Volt Transformer ($27)
- Nelson Solenoid 7962 ($11)
- A 5 foot legnth of hose ($5)
- Various fittings ($10)
Going to try and find cheaper parts, but this is a good start I believe.
