Package dependency is a one of the major accomplishments of the Debian APT system. It defines that another package needs to get installed when a package is installed.
LinuxMCE dependencies are automatically created based on the configuration in the database, that can be made in webadmin under Advanced / Software / Packages.
If a package is selected as a dependency MakeRelease writes an entry about the package into the package definition file. If the Manufacturer of the dependency is Pluto, MakeRelease creates a Depends entry. If it is not Pluto, it creates a Pre-Depends entry.
