The Creative Audigy Platinum works right from the box. You can use ananlogue stereo or Coaxial SPDIF for digital sound. When playing digital audio the card won't play 'DTS' only Dolby Surround. I changed the 'Sound Card' from 'Standard Sound Card' to 'Audigy' on the Admin Website but don't know what difference it makes because everything stays as before the change, including not playing of DTS. I haven't had the change to try out the front panel and the remote as also the Fire Wire on the back of the card. I will update as soon as tested.
