At first to add descriptions of the available packages to the database you must run

/usr/pluto/bin/getxmls

or add it to the cron (to get this descriptions periodically).

Also if you have some installed packages from the downloaded descriptions you should to run

/usr/pluto/bin/instcheck PK_Device

where PK_Device is primary key of this media director PC in the table "Device" of the LinuxMCE db. You can find it by calling the follow query to pluto_main database

SELECT PK_Device FROM Device WHERE IPaddress="your_ip_address"

Then

1. In the Orbiter main screen go to LinuxMCE->Add Software

2. Select some package and answer "Yes" on the next question

3. After some time the package will be installed
