This page was written by Pluto and imported with their permission when LinuxMCE branched off in February, 2007. In general any information should apply to LinuxMCE. However, this page should be edited to reflect changes to LinuxMCE and remove old references to Pluto.

Pluto is a single solution that consists of several pieces, and each has its own User's Manual.

To get started you will want to read the documentation on Getting Started

You then control and use your Pluto system with Orbiters. Orbiters is just our way of saying "remote control". Every media director has an on-screen Orbiter that you can use to control the system with your TV. But you can also run the same Orbiters on touch-screen panels. See the Orbiter

Pluto is a modular system and you can add all sorts of plug-ins to do various tasks. You will set these up using the Pluto Admin web site, and on each page there is a help button that will take you directly to the documentation for that plug-in. You can also browse the online Pluto Home Software to see the User's Manuals for all the plugins.
