I'm vuko2918 (@Forum: vuko) and live in Graz(Austria not Australia :-)). I'm student of Software-engineering & Economy @ Technical University Graz and work at a local Warehouse Automation Company in the 2nd Level software support. I started using Debian about two years ago. At work we are using AIX as well SuSe Linux.

I started engaging myself with home multimedia when i was about 8 years and got my first own HiFi-system. Since then i tried to build cheap Multiroom systems through with Speaker Switches and lot of Speaker-Cables. When I ot my first PC i started to build a homenetwork and so the two interest mixed.

LinuxMCE and me

I've seen the Video LinuxMCE vs winMCE some time ago but never really made any steps into LinuxMCE. When i saw the new video i decided to try to setup a VirtualBox with LinuxMCE. I Could get through the setup and get the basic UI working, but without any devices i hadn't any fun on using it. So i decided to get myself a core to make my real first steps in LinuxMCE.

Until now I'm not really sure whether I use it as Core or as Hybrid.
