LinuxMCE Version: 8.10

Hybrid: Compaq Presario SR1200NX, 40gig Maxtor HD, Old NVidia GeForce2 MX 400 video card.

Display: Emerson 42' HDTV (DVI/HDMI)

I was able to install LinuxMCE rather easily if I would have been a little more patient.

After three tries which the first two were installed correctly just too eager to let linuxmce do it's install thing so I interrupted the install twice as I recalled. (Maybe more...stopped counting after wife started complaining)

My biggest issue was and still seems to get video resolution correct.

The only way I was able to get a display to my TV was to interrupt the boot cycle and try the xfix and sticking with static display no U1. After this I've managed to boot into the main linux menu but the screen size is to small. I just need to research the fix which I know is out there. I have tried to reset the resolution settings through the a/v wiz but am only able to complete when connected via vga. If I try to change the settings while using the vga (I select the settings and unplug the vga cord and hit enter) the vga screen shuts off and I am stuck at the good ole blank screen causing reboot.(Probably should just wait ...especially reading some posters as waiting 15 mins after changes...again the patience bug on my back)

All in all i am very excited and pleased to have a rough draft of what is soon to be the best OS I have used.
