lol.  I'm glad you have a sense of humor.  I noticed you seem to be quietly categorizing the wiki -- thanks for the effort, I thinks it's a definite step in the right direction.  Do you think "Category:Sample User Setups" ought to be obsoleted in favor of "Category:User Setups"?  My page [[Alx9r's Sample Setup]] was in both, which looks awkward (i removed it from "Sample User Setups"). --[[User:Alx9r|Alx9r]] 11:59, 21 June 2008 (PDT)

Hey Alx9r :)

I was thinking that we should eventually collapse them into one or the other, but im not sure which works best. I feel that for the moment, its fine because you also go into WAAAAAAY deeper detail than the average user setup. Looks good to me and thanks for adding that. Your letting me shame other users into adding their setups when I point to yours :)

I'm glad sharing my setup has stimulated others to contribute theirs too.  I was actually pleasantly surprised by how many have been created and updated in the last month.  I know that more concrete examples would have helped me a bunch starting out, so I think that weakness is well on its way to being shored up.

This is kinda why i started down this road of being more active in encouraging people to add their setups and organization. Between the web app tschak909 is writing and the wiki, figuring out an ideal setup for a new user should be much more simple. I with you, figuring what to get and how to set things up was a bear, so I guess im just trying to contribute back whilst I learn more of the heavyweight coding.

Hey Alx9r :) I was thinking that we should eventually collapse them into one or the other, but im not sure which works best. I feel that for the moment, its fine because you also go into WAAAAAAY deeper detail than the average user setup. Looks good to me and thanks for adding that. Your letting me shame other users into adding their setups when I point to yours :) --Langstonius 1:39, 21 June 2008 (PDT)

I'm glad sharing my setup has stimulated others to contribute theirs too. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how many have been created and updated in the last month.
