I found the best way to get this working is to trust that LMCE knows what it is doing. When you go through the Setup Wizard you can tell it that you have a cable box. I had to configure mythtv to set the default channel to 03- you can do this by clicking "Computing" from the main screen, then "MythTV Setup".
