Dunno if you read this, but, since I do not have access to IRC here, thought I would weigh in on solving the Turn on and Play, issue.

Basically, I think I can prototype this with just creating a simple message queue, consisting of a file containing DCE messages, each message null terminated. This would be read by a little routine in Orbiter's CreateChildren (as the very last thing, once the children are registered), reconstituted into Messages and subsequently fired off.
